Styling DL1961’s Amanda Jeans – 3 Different Ways

The Amanda jean from DL1961 is such a versatile cut, it can be worn with pretty much anything. DL1961 asked me to style 3 different washes in the Amanda in 3 very different ways, to prove how easy they are to wear. The Amanda is a great skinny jean, it has a 31″ inseam, a 8.25″ rise, a leg opening of 11″ and is one of the brands best sellers! It’s similar to the Emma in fit, but it’s skinnier and has a longer inseam. Now onto the styling!

I styled the Amanda in Zurich first! This season, old is new again! DL1961 have brought back faded jeans in this sexy washed down grey skinny jean, so I thought it was perfect to style with other shades of grey. I chose a light grey marl t-shirt, a pair of stone coloured grey Isabel Marant sneakers, some silver jewellery and then to give a bit of colour to the outfit, a petrol blue leather jacket. This is my interpretation of a casual outfit that you can wear in the day time to run some errands or do shopping in.

Next I styled the Amanda in Geneva. This is a dark clean wash with tonal stitching and silver hardware, so it’s perfect for dressing up and having fun with! As the jeans are such a dark blue, I wanted to bring some colour to the look which is why I went for a turquoise coloured blazer. To keep things classic and smart though, I chose a simple white button up shirt and some Christian Louboutin black Pigalle heels. Then to add a bit of a statement, an embellished collar necklace and a royal blue envelope clutch. I can see this outfit definitely being worn on a night out with the girls to a fancy bar or restaurant!

Finally, I styled the Amanda in Seville. This wash adds a little variety to that classic blue jean with distressing. Sometimes people forget just how important a few carefully placed rips can be! As the jeans were dark blue, I wanted to go with something smarter, but the rips indicate day time wear to me, so I went with a classy day time lunch look. I paired the jeans with a long cream coat and some cream and black heels. To keep things a little bit fun though, I went with a horse print blouse to show through a little bit under the coat. I added some simple gold rings to finish things off and a small Tory Burch tan bag. I can definitely see this being worn out to lunch in a bistro or hotel somewhere!
