3 Ways to Wear: J Brand Photo Ready Cropped in Chrome Mercy

The Mercy style by J Brand is their most popular since the Houlihans and since the original version, J Brand has released the Chrome wash that has already become a favorite for celebrities like Kourtney Kardashian and Elie Goulding. They are one that I can only see getting more popular along with the rise of grey denim. As being one of my favorite choices this season, I decided to style them three different ways this week.

Just because these are distressed and have a raw hem, it doesn’t mean that they can’t look smart. Think of them in a Geraldine Saglio sense when styling them. I chose to pair them with a classic white button down from TOPSHOP and pumps by Alexander Wang. Then for the accessories, I wanted pieces that were clean, like this Diane von Furstenberg clutch and Cartier bracelet. You can wear something like this to a meeting or even a night out for some cocktails.

Grey denim and stripes go hand-in-hand as we should all know by now with the help of Kate Moss and recently Harry Styles. I chose a t shirt by R13 for its luscious feel and the width of the stripes are on point. I then wanted to get a bit more inspired by Harry by pairing them with a pair of Saint Laurent boots and a TOPSHOP beanie. Then as we all have things to carry, the amazing Chanel backpack.

Here is a look that is a mix of both smart and casual above. As you know grey on grey is a favorite of mine. I chose a t shirt by A.P.C. to pair with the jeans as I found the slightly different tone to work well with it. I then chose a blazer by Rag & Bone to smarten it up and some Marant boots to keep it more on the casual side. To finish it off, a Balenciaga because you really can’t go wrong with this bag.
