DENIM REVIEW: Paige Verdugo Ultra Skinny in Joannie Destructed

Paige Verdugo Ultra Skinny Joannie Destructed

My next review will be on the Paige Verdugo Ultra in Joannie Destructed. These jeans were such a pleasant surprise when I first got them and quickly became one of, if not, my daily pairs as I have been wearing them mostly since I got them.

To start off, I got these in my usual size 27. When I first held them up they looked as though they were going to be small, but I was proven wrong. They zipped and buttoned up without any force, which just made them even more better.

The cut was probably the biggest surprise for me as the full name for the cut is ‘Verdugo Ultra Skinny.’ My initial thought was that they were going to be tight all the way down the ankles on me. Once again I was proven wrong and they have a unisex fit that is just absolutely amazing. The hem opening is not too small and is proportional to the width of the stacking that they have with me.

The back pocket is classic Paige. The pockets are perfectly proportioned and positioned. They also hold my wallet without any peeking, which is something that is usually difficult to find when buying women’s jeans for a guy. The length is perfect for myself at 30″. They stack up just enough and aren’t bulky at the ankles.

The fabric used is just amazing. They have to be one of the most comfortable jeans that I have ever worn. They are a super supple stretch denim that does not lose its shape. It also hugs my legs, but doesn’t have a suffocating feel.

The wash of these have been something that I have been looking for for quite some time now. They have a washed black wash that is not quite charcoal nor a complete black. They feel as though they are a pair that you washed out yourself. It is one that is versatile and easy to pair with anything. The distressing is something that just helps elevate the wash in such a simple way. The jeans have three slits on the knees, one on the left and two on the right. It’s a simple and clean detailing that helps keep the versatility of them. Even though the rips don’t fall on the spots that they should and fall just an inch or two lower than intended, they are still placed in spots that even when they are lower, they still work to give the same vibe.

Overall, if you are looking for a simple distressed pair of jeans, these are ones to try out. They are a pair of jeans that I absolutely recommend for whether you are a guy or girl. They are just a great pair to own as the comfort alone will keep you pulling them out everyday and hoping they come out with a non-distressed pair like I have.
