It’s already February tomorrow and that means that Spring wont be too far away. With warmer weather and a fresh new season, it’s time to get some brand new denim or break out your past pairs from Summer. What’s the best cut for Spring and one that looks so simple and easy? The boyfriend jean of course!
Coming in a range of fits from cropped to full length, slim to baggy, light to dark and skinny to straight, there really is a pair of boyfriend jeans for everyone. I’ve rounded up the 15 newest as well as the most classic boyfriend jeans for the season, so you can get your hands on some new staples. Check out these options below!
The Paige Jimmy Jimmy has been one of the ultimate boyfriend jeans for many. Worn by so many celebs in various washes and acting as one of the most flattering, you can’t go wrong. Paige kept the back pockets in a perfect position so they aren’t too baggy or overwhelming on the butt, making these fantastic.
The GOLDSIGN His Jeans have also been a popular choice for many seasons now. They are a slimmer play on the baggy borrowed from the boyfriend look, but with an authentic looking wash. These would look great with boots or sandals.
These are new for the season and are actually great to choose now as you transition into Spring. You might not be into blue denim and you prefer something black, so why not try these? They are coated in a wax black too to make them even more fancy! They mix a pair of sweat pants with jeans, making them extremely comfortable and stylish.
If you love something more bold and striking, these Stella McCartney star print jeans might be a great option. They are quirky, fun and full of life, but the slimmer fit makes them flattering and wearable. You can keep things really simple with this outfit, so the jeans are the focal point.
One Teaspoon are known for making classic boyfriend jeans with some fantastic, heavy looking rips. They are great for that super worn in look and for those of you younger readers who love distressing. This pair with the heavily bleached wash will take you through to Summer too.
The newer Alexander Wang boyfriend jeans are a great fit and a great take on the vintage trend. They remind me of a pair of worn out, old Levi’s jeans with the bleached wash, but with a more modern fit.
We recently saw these FRAME jeans on Hilary Duff and they are so perfect! They kept the fit baggy, but with a structured cut and a button fly to scream from the hill tops for. I would definitely love these in my closet for Spring!
If you have long legs and want something slim with a darker wash, the Victoria Beckham pair might be an option for you. They have a lower rise and a big cuff at the hems, but it means they can be worn in a much more smarter way.
Again, these are another pair of really slim boyfriend jeans which are great for petite ladies who want something full length, or can be worn cropped on the longer legged ladies. The wash is faded nicely with some intense whiskering, making them a standout piece.
Shopbop collaborated with Citizens of Humanity to create the Principle Girlfriend fit which is exclusive to them. It’s a much slimmer boyfriend jean which has more of a slight carrot/tapered feel. The wash also makes them incredibly versatile.
I’m sure most of you remember the Current/Elliott Boyfriend jeans, bringing the fit onto the scene many years ago when we caught all of the celebs out in them. So why not give a nod back to the classic and go with these? They are always available to buy every season!
These are a straight leg jean, but I own them and they definitely fit like a boyfriend if you wear them slouchy. Cuffed or un-cuffed, they make a gorgeous jean to wear in Spring. They are comfortable and the wash is absolutely beautiful, I definitely recommend these!
Again like One Teaspoon, if you love something with heavy distressing, these R13 jeans might be a match made in heaven for you. With a slimmer fit so the distressing doesn’t overwhelm the legs, these have a great balance to them, they wont be too much at all.
I also have these, the Beau from AG, and they are a pair I wear quite frequently. They are more of a slouchy skinny with a lower rise, so they are only slightly baggy/loose when worn. This gives much more of a better silhouette though.
Finally, we have the MOTHER Dropout jeans which everyone goes on about being a great boyfriend jean. With a lower rise and a cropped length, they are really easy wearing and would look good with flats or heels. Do you own any of these jeans?
