Laura Bailey in a Citizens of Humanity Dakota Jean Jacket in El Camino

Laura Bailey posed for photos while at the Citizens of Humanity VIP film screening to unveil ‘Every Mile, Every Mother’ directed by filmmaker and founder of Every Mother Counts, Christy Turlington Burns.

The short film explores long distance running as a metaphor for birth and also highlights the barrier distance creates for women to access critical maternity care. The film follows 12 runners as they run Hood to Coast, a 200 mile relay race in Oregon. It illustrates the support and teamwork required to ensure a safe birth experience for mothers, similar to the support and teamwork required for long distance running. Christy completed the relay with members of her non-profit organization “Every Mother Counts”, which is dedicated to making pregnancy and childbirth safe for every mother.

For the event, Laura wore a Citizens of Humanity Dakota Jean Jacket in El Camino, layering it over a printed maxi dress and finishing it off with some platform heels. I love the wash of this jacket, I think the stone washed shade that it has to it is really nice. It reminds me of an authentic, worn in looking jacket, with a vintage appeal to it. Buy this jacket online at their website for $385.
