Every year nearly 30 billion pounds of unwanted clothing and goods end up in landfills in America. Despite nearly 95% of textiles being recyclable, nearly 24 billion pounds of textiles still end up in landfills. In an effort to reduce the amount of un-recycled textiles wasted and to grow their current recycling mission, Levi’s has launched their new Fashion Friday Exchange.
Now through August 28th, women are invited into mainline Levi’s stores across the US, to recycle a pair of jeans or other item of clothing, and receive a 20% off voucher. Shoppers can also try on the newest collection from the brand, the Women’s collection, and receive a voucher for $10 off the purchase of their new jeans.
