In honor of their love for all things blue, Mavi has teamed up with the Ecological Research Society, to launch the Indigo Turtle project. The partnership aims to protect two distinct species of turtles, Caretta caretta and Chelonia mydas, which have an extremely low survival rate at 40% of hatching turtles reach the water and only one in a thousand survive.
To aid the efforts, Mavi employees gathered at Belek, near Turkey, to assist the hatching turtles out of their nests and into the water. To further assist the efforts, Mavi has produced an Indigo Turtle tee shirt, of which the proceeds will help protect 10 turtles. You can buy the tee shirt online at Mavi’s site here.
