It has been a while since I have reviewed a pair of jeans and I’m happy to write this one up on the A GOLD E Colette Skinny in Rituel. I loved the brand the moment I saw their look book and couldn’t be happier when the jeans lived up to what I expected.
I’ll start off with the fit. I took these in my regular size 27 and they fit great. I would say that they run true to size going by my pairs by Citizens of Humanity and R13. They have a standard medium rise to them, which I am a fan of. I noticed that the way they are cut at the waist, the jeans don’t slip down and actually stay up at my hips all day. I am not tugging them up like some of my other jeans.
The back pockets are also well placed. They are central and where they should be, as well as the size of them being perfect. It holds my wallet without any peeking. The fit in the leg is really good. They are not super skinny, but more of a classic skinny I would say. In comparison to another pair, I would say the cut of the leg is like the Citizens of Humanity Racers.
The fabric is another plus for the jeans because of the super soft to the touch and lightweight feel. At first they feel as though there isn’t much stretch to them, but they form to you and feel as though you are wearing sweatpants. I have been wearing them for a few days now and they have stretched out a little, but that could be caused from me constantly moving around. But rest assured, the fabric does have a slight cling to it, so they don’t look it.
The wash is a simple charcoal grey that goes with my closet of neutrals. There is no fading or wear to them and they are just a clean smart wash that you can dress up or have it dress up your casual look because it is so clean.
Overall, I would recommend this brand to others. The fit is really well done and the feel is just amazing. They also come at a more affordable price than many other premium jeans that you can’t beat and they even beat some of my more expensive pairs with the way they are designed.
