Denim Review: Joe’s Jeans Super Slim in Zachary

I am back with another review and this time I also included a photo of me actually in the jeans. This one is on a pair that instantly caught my eye the moment I saw them, Joe’s Super Slim Jeans in Zachary. Though, I have to admit that I was really hesitant about trying them at first.

I say these are true to size. I haven’t tried any of the other men’s jeans from Joe’s before, or any Joe’s for that matter, so I can’t compare them to their other styles. So I’ll try to describe the sizing as best as I can. I went with my usual size, a 29, and the waist fits me just like a few other brands that I have tried. If you wear a 29 in the J Brand Kane or in Bleulab Anti-Fit, I’d say to get the same size for these as you do with those. They are fitted, but they still have a bit of room for me.

Like I said earlier, the wash is what I immediately loved when I first saw these. I have been looking for a black/charcoal wash with fading for a while, one that still feels like and looks like denim. The many others that I have tried and seen have looked more like a washed out twill material. Which is not necessarily bad, I was just looking for a pair that looked like denim. As you can see, they are a washed out denim with whiskering at the hips and fading on the thighs. The details continue with some distressing around the edges of the pockets and hems of the jeans. They are very minimal and can easily be missed if you don’t look closely.

The fit was the biggest surprise for me. Out of all the men’s jeans that I have tried on, these would have to be my favorite. Many of the other styles that I have tried by other brands have all been really baggy, even with their slimmest styles. Ever since the first moment I slipped my foot in these, I knew they were going to have the right proportion of slim to baggy.

Now for the measurements of the jeans. These have a 10 1/2″ rise with a 34″ inseam and 14 1/2″ leg opening. I think the measurements are perfect for many of the taller guys. The length of them is probably the only issue I have with them because they are a bit long. I would say a 30″ or 32″ inseam would have been better for me, but I actually don’t mind the length because they are cut so well and don’t look extra bunchy around the ankles.

Overall, I would recommend these jeans to any guy. Whether you are one that doesn’t wear much color like I do (don’t mind the scarf, it was a cold rainy day) or just looking for a pair of well fitted jeans. You will definitely not go wrong with these. Click here to purchase them from the Joe’s website for $198.
