Our Top J Brand Picks From SSENSE

SSENSE also asked us to choose our top picks from J Brand for the month as well. This was a fairly easy task for me because I really like some of the jeans that J Brand has out at the moment, as well as some of their ready to wear pieces. They are usually inventive and creative with their styles! You can see my 6 choices below.

Monochrome Grey Patchwork Jeans

As the patchwork jeans trend is getting more popular, I thought it would be great to include these. They are a completely different take on the trend and look really well done. Rather than looking completely like patchwork pieces sewn on, they almost have a geometric blocking feel to them instead, which is really inventive.

Black Zipper Accented Brix Jeans

I’m a big fan of the Brix jeans as I love the contrast of the zippers being uneven on each side, I think it adds some dimension to the pants and the ankle zippers just add that finishing touch. You also can’t go wrong with black! They can literally be paired with anything and still look great.

Heather Grey Linen Zippered Minnie College Sweatshirt

I chose this sweater because grey is about as neutral as it gets without being too bright like white, or too dark like black. It’s that perfect in-between shade which looks great with most blue shades of denim. Everyone needs a sweater to keep the chill out and I think this one looks like it could do the job perfectly, without compromising style!

Black Coated Low Rise Jeans

Who doesn’t like black coated skinny jeans? They are a great upgrade from the classic black skinny jeans that everyone wears on a weekly basis, as they add more depth and shine to the jeans. I find them to look more dressier and just overall pleasing on the eye. Not to mention they look like they have a great fit! I love them paired with heels, silk or satin shirts and blazers, they look so chic then.

Bleached Grey Ripped And Creased Jeans

I chose these as I thought they would be a great alternative for the Spring/Summer months, without looking too smart. The raw hem and ripped knees tone them down so they look much more casual than a classic white pair of jeans. They are called bleached grey, but I feel like the venture more towards white than actual grey. I also like the creasing at the lap, it gives them a more 3 dimensional feel.

Black Crushed Satin Mila Tunic

Last, but definitely not least, is this gorgeous black satin tunic. I originally saw it on Chiara from The Blonde Salad and I fell in love with it then. It looks so classy and smart, but really sexy at the same time. The zipper on the front gives you more of a v neck feel and since it’s vertical, it also gives off a slimming effect. It’s so pretty!
