LOOK BOOK: Whistles Spring 2016 Men’s

WHISTLES_120_026

Here is the brand new Spring Summer 2016 Look Book from Whistles for the guys. There were more pieces, but being a denim blog we obviously wanted to just feature the jeans and trousers of the collection. It’s very classic, very sophisticated and easy going, so I think there’s denim for anyone here. You can check out the looks in the gallery below and read the press release too.

Providing an effortless wardrobe for the modern man, spring summer 2016 offers a refresh on the classics. Relaxed tailoring is given a contemporary twist; deconstructed blazers are in washed cotton tones of charcoal and navy, with a ticking stripe interior and our deconstructed blazer is updated in a pale chambray.

The colours and prints of the collection take inspiration from natural landscapes, using the grey and deep blue hues from rock quarries. The hand drawn prints are based on the aging patterns of strata rock formations.

As the season moves into summer the range takes inspiration from holidaying in the French landscape ranging from the Pyrenees mountains to the coastlines of Brittany and the Tour de France provides vivid colour references of Azure Blue and bold Red and nod towards the sporting time of year, with the upcoming Euros. In particular our version of a Breton stripe, a modern take on a true knit cycle jersey and the collarless shirt are favourites.

Indigo is a prominent colour reference as well as in true dip, featuring on Japanese waffle weave overshirts, carefully washed down for authentic finish. New improved denim fits have entered the range with an easy mid wash and bleach wash on rigid 12oz weights.

Hero pieces such as the camel mac, the Harrington jacket and the suede overshirt give an instant wardrobe update, whilst drawing the collection together. Accessories remain staple, updated with a versatile canvas backpack and large holdall.
