Diesel Spring/Summer 2013 Press Day – Women’s

Yesterday I had the pleasure of seeing the new Diesel Spring/Summer 2013 collection at their press day which was held at their headquarters in London. Battling the heavy rain and strong winds was worth it to see the new styles. Everything I saw was so different to what I am used to and it was such a refreshing change! This post features the women’s collection and there will be a men’s post to follow. As the press day was centered mostly around the women’s styles, there wasn’t a large amount of men’s on display, but there were some key pieces and styles which I will show in another post.

My absolutely favourite pair of jeans were the printed Livier in the image above. They were the first pair I saw when I walked in and I was so excited to see such a bold and feminine print from Diesel! Throughout the entire collection they had soft pastels, delicate floral prints and everything was very feminine. It’s such a step away from the usual Diesel styles. They are branching out a lot with their design route and I quite like it. I do miss their old style denim with the heavy distressing and stained washes, but it is very interesting to see how this new directional take does. The printed Livier will drop in February and I can’t wait, they are first on my list to buy!

They had an overdyed burgundy jean which was beautiful, a baby blue floral print as well as a yellow, they also had bright pastels lined up and some neon yellows, a grey version of the Jeggonfire jean that I was wearing, some black skinnies and some beautiful classic blues which you can see on the mannequins. Out of the Diesel collections I have seen previously, I would say that this one was the most pleasant on the eye as a whole. Everything just stood out and looked beautiful!

They also had their denim high tops with studs which looked gorgeous, denim wedges, and boots and bags with the same print as the Livier. I also loved the Livier print on the short and long dresses, it was beautiful! There was an oversized sweater in grey and purple which I would love to own and some leather and suede. You can see all of the images in the gallery below of the women’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection from Diesel. What do you think? Do you like the new styles?
