3 Ways to Wear the Anine Bing Double Zip Skinny in Grey

Grey jeans are one of the hardest washes to style around and I feel that I am not alone on this. The main reason I think this is because many tend to lack in depth and are very dull. There are a handful that I have come across though over time that were given much more attention than others allowing them to be more versatile with the added details. One pair that has all this criteria is the Double Zip Skinny in Grey by Anine Bing. See all the ways I styled the looks below.

When grey is done right you can pretty much wear it with anything, which Kate Moss has proven over time through the years. As summer is still holding on for a little bit more, I wanted to do one look that was still light and of course with that California essence. You cannot go wrong by pairing them with a classic white shirt by R13, the perfect belt by Isabel Marant and ankle boots like the supermodel. To elevate the classic look from looking too much like staples, I chose these boots by Toga as I find the green to work really well with the wash of the jeans. I then finished it off with another staple, a satchel by Proenza Schouler.

Reds are also a compliment to grey jeans, even with the slightest touch like with this sweater here by Isabel Marant. It’s a simple and classic piece to pair along with a brown version of the belt above, a silky black t shirt by ACNE and some high-top sneakers by Superga x The Row. Tuck the jeans into the shoes or have them slightly unzipped and messily falling on top. The look is casual with a slight sense of Parisian chicness to it.

Just because they are grey jeans it doesn’t mean that you can’t pair them with grey and silver. Just like black, an all grey look can be very chic and is a great change if you are looking to move away from the look. The key to making an all grey look work is to choose different shades and by adding accents to help break it up like a belt. As for the shirt, I chose one by Isabel Marant and added a Kenzo jacket on top to add some color. Then for a bit of fun, a pair of silver boots by Saint Laurent.

How many of you are rethinking grey jeans? Are you looking forward to start wearing them again?
