Hudson jeans has adopted some rock and roll to their brand. The fall campaign will feature Georgia May Jagger (Mick Jagger’s daughter). The LA based brand recently received $30 million dollar investment earlier this year. With this investment, the brand is revamping their advertising campaign and looking to possibly open a retail store.

Advertising executive, David Lipman, who was director of the campaign, said that their choice to use Georgia May Jagger was an easy one. That the choice was “All about her genes ÔÇö literally and figuratively. It’s all about the heritage of having Mick Jagger as a dad and Jerry Hall as a mum. But more than anything, it’s her spirit that captivates me.”

In addition, the Jagger’s English and American background also made the selection a natural one, as the Union Jack is an emblem of Hudson Jeans. Both the Union Jack and the look of the jeans are common themes throughout the ads.

The new campaign, along with the reliance on the solid design of the jeans and combination of newer, trendier pieces will help the line’s sales. Hudson will also incorporate the featured on Jagger, as well as developing men’s wear.

Investors and CEO, Peter Kim feel are hopeful about the new direction of the brand, as its the biggest campaign that the brand has launched. They feel that it has the potential to increase the company’s sales significantly as the luxury denim market increased in the past year by over 10%.
