Veganism is a growing lifestyle that not only effects eating habits but also clothing choices. Many have stressed about finding a great quality pair of jeans, especially styles in the raw/dry denim spectrum, that don’t have a leather patch at the waistband. Many have chosen to omit the heritage detail all together, while others have switched to paper patches. NUDIE opted for the latter.
Moving with the times, NUDIE — known for their sustainable production — carried their initiative further, switching out their leather patches for durable jacron paper.
It doesn’t take away from the quality of the jeans and still carry the brand’s signature look…plus it’s a solid move in the right direction for animals and the planet.
Being one of the first brands — if not the first, brand to design with organic denim — this is a natural progression for the company. Now, Nudie are just that much more better for the planet…and the cows.

A classic denim jacket made from the same selvedge denim that was used when the brand first launched. It insures durability for some heavy wears as you break it in.
A sleek new take on the denim jacket. The Ronny is made of a dry stretch denim that has character already at its raw state with the grainy surface and cross hatch effect. This will only lead to something more alluring as it breaks in.
The Grim Tim is one of the original styles that is still a part of the line since they first launched. And just as when it launched, the style still versatile and suitable for all body types. This time around, they will now be featuring the new paper patch. These also feature their signature stitching of the back pocket in navy or a cleaner look.
The Thin Finn is another one of the originals by the brand. With their slightly lower yoke and back pockets, it gives the look of a pair of slouchy jeans without actually having to sag your pants.
The Lean Dean was a home run since they were first released. They have a skinny fit that is just skinny enough that’ll allow you to still get those honeycombs and whiskers while still having a slim fit.
The Tilted Tor is their newest releases in the skinny cut story and a personal favorite. The style features a slightly lower front rise, slim leg and button-fly – a detail that is hard to find with slimmer styles – that makes them the perfect mix of old and new school.
Baggy jeans are becoming more popular by the day. Made of their signature organic dry denim, these are a style that have a clean retro feel that’ll only get better and become more modern as they break in.
Another pair of the Grim Tims that have tested the time with their classic gold stitching on the back pocket.
Editor’s Choice for Nudie Jeans
The fabric of these is a reproduction of the legendary Kurabo Denim 8, the first domestically produced denim, the denim that started the Japanese denim craze. The perfect choice for the Fearless Freddie – a slim tapered cut that is just as classic as the fabric itself.
